ON THE BLACK SIDE

James, a one-time closet conservative, comes up with an idea to canvas his old Black Middle-Class neighborhood when Republican candidate Mayor Owen Reid’s controversial  video is released three weeks before the governor's debates. He is met with pushback and racial attacks from friends, family, and the very political party he’s aligned with, he soon learns not all votes are created equal and not all conservatives are accepted.

A Cup of life

Aizza, eager to breathe life back into the community, opens a plant shop in the heart of a gang-infested neighborhood. She offers her business to three at-risk youth to complete their community service hours, against the advice of her sister, Dola. As she attempts to connect with the youth through planting, situations get dirty, but Aizza refuses to wipe her hands clean of the youth and risk losing her business and life.

NBA point guard Kareem “Silk” Harris’s off the court troubles have created professional and personal strife, leaving more trauma than memories. After a near fatal car crash, Silk is hospitalized and meets former attorney and life of the party Colin. A former attorney who’s love for sports and karaoke, wears on the Silk, but doesn’t stop Colin from posing a personal question to the all-star point guard, “How will you be remembered.”

But Obie, a Star Wars buff, holds the US black market hostage. That is until Maggie, the owner of a struggling comic bookstore, finds herself with a connection to Star Wars Market and becomes the leading underground toy distributor. But for how long?
